These are one of my most favorite treats. Ever. I remember having these every Christmas. Oh. So. Yummy!
And very easy to make. They are really just meringue cookies chock full of chocolate chips and chopped pecans. I can’t say enough about them! But instead of raving on and on and on about how much I like them I’ll go ahead and post the recipe. Enjoy!
2 egg whites
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
6 oz. chopped nuts
6 oz. chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add salt and sugar while continuing to beat mixture. Stir in vanilla. Add nuts and chocolate chips and stir. Line baking sheets with foil and drop mixture onto sheets. Place in oven and turn off. Leave in oven overnight or until oven is cool.
