I love broccoli and this is a great way to add some variety (my usual is steamed broccoli which can get old after a while!) I admit I have never heard of these and looked up other recipes. It looks like some recipes call for cheese which might be good too. The only thing I would add to this recipe is a bit of salt. The cayenne pepper added a little kick though!
I don’t have any single size baking dishes so I used an old pyrex dish and cooked one big serving, then cut in half. It took a little longer to cook but worked out great.
1 c. cooked broccoli
1/2 c. milk
1 T. whole wheat flour
pinch of cayenne pepper
Puree broccoli in blender. Add eggs, milk, flour, & cayenne pepper. Process until thoroughly mixed. Butter or oil 2 single servings dishes (baking). Divide broccoli mixture between them and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes. Timboles are done when they appear firm when lightly shaken. To serve, run a knife around the inside of the baking dishes and invert onto serving plates or serve in baking dishes. Serve with Dilled Mushroom Sauce.
