This is so good! Especially served over rice with the gravy from the pan. I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts instead of a whole chicken cut up and it worked just as well.
1 fryer, cut up
1 pkg. onion soup mix
2 c. boiling water
1/4 stick butter
Flour chicken pieces and place in 9×13 dish. Mix together onion soup mix, water, and butter. Pour over chicken. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, basting occasionally. This makes a delicious gravy with the chicken. Do not add salt. Serve with rice.
